LAST DAY to Complete "Next Steps" Survey

The school district's Next Steps Committee invites you to take a survey about the components and options that it has developed to address the challenge of increasing enrollments and the impact on school facilities and equity. This is the last opportunity to set priorities for a bond measure that may be presented to San Mateo and Foster City voters this fall. Please see the video presentation about the options being presented, and express your opinions here BEFORE 10PM MONDAY:

Friday, April 24, is NSM’s Earth Day Celebration!

The PTA has two special events planned. Please join us for the “Walking School Bus,”.  Arrive at Seal Point Park in time to sign in and leave at 7:30am (no later than 7:45!).  Carpooling to Seal Point Park is encouraged.  The event will happen rain or shine.   And then we’ll end the day with our Nourishing NSM Harvest Dinner at 6:00 pm. In the Montessori tradition of teaching conservation, and in celebration of Earth Day, we ask that you bring your own reusable plates, cups, utensils and napkins.  See you then!  Don’t forget the permission slip!

We are still looking for volunteers for these two events: the walking school bus http://www.SignUpGenius.com/go/5080D4CAAAB2AA13-earth2  and Nourishing NSM Harvest Dinner http://www.signupgenius.com/go/805054cafab23a31-friday.

Tech Committee Meeting, Tuesday, May 12th, 6:00-7:30pm

San Mateo RoundTable (1852 S.Norfolk St @ Hwy. 92).  Feel free to drop by late if you get held up in traffic or at a prior activity.

The NSM Tech Committee invites you to a "no host" celebration and review of a milestone year and to preview the next at our school.  For the 2014-15 school year we:  staged another popular Hour of Code week, migrated to a new website and a new e-mail system, helped integrate the District Common Core Chromebooks into the classroom environment and more.

.  Come discuss these developments, provide input on how to refurbish some of our aging gear and explore how you can spend those volunteer hours helping our kids and NSM ride the tech wave.
