North Shoreview is a public Montessori school in San Mateo, California, offering preschool, elementary, and middle-school programs. We are part of the San Mateo-Foster City School District and a member of the American Montessori Society. As a public magnet school, we offer an alternative curriculum designed to meet all California state educational standards.

Montessori Working Groups to meet in April
Tuesday, April 22, 7:00-8:15pm, NSM Gym
North Shoreview and Parkside Montessori parents are invited to join one of five working groups to investigate how we can best support the students and faculty of the Montessori program as we expand as two K-8 campuses over the next few years. The five issue areas include parent organizations; fundraising; communications; extracurricular activities and events; and volunteering. Come ready to share ideas and work together. Free Movie night, April 10th 6:30pm, NSM Gym
Come see the Penguins of Madagascar for free! There will be an optional BBQ starting at 5:30 with dinner plates offered for $5. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served.
Spring Picture Day Featuring Sibling Pictures! Tuesday, April 21, 2015
As we do each year, spring pictures are being offered for those who wish to participate. This is also a special chance to have your children photographed together by signing up for sibling pictures. Watch for the sign-up forms coming home with students after spring break on Thursday, April 9. Deadline to sign up is Friday, April 17.

Because of their generous donations of merchandise, services, and time, we raised over $65,000 for our students and NSM community. Walk to School with NSM, Friday., April 24th 7:30am, 7:45 am prompt Start at Seal Point Park
Join your friends in walking to school for Earth Day. The walking school bus program is designed to get children active, increase safety, reduce carbon emissions, and get communities to work together. Children who participate in the walking school bus walk to school in groups with the child’s parent/ guardian and led by adult volunteers.
